Carlos is a registered architect who joined DunnHillam in 2018 where he has been invaluable to the team in the design and documentation of projects including the Australian Opal Centre, Gunnedah Koala Sanctuary, Cobar Early Learning Precinct and the Cobar Heritage Centre. Carlos brings an extensive interest in architectural detail design and construction, as well as skills in architectural communication, documentation and technological integration to the studio. In all his projects, Carlos is interested in addressing sustainability through pragmatic design.
Before joining DunnHillam, Carlos worked on residential, public and educational projects and studied at various institutions including UNSW, Universita IUAV di Venezia, and CEPT University Ahmedabad, having had the opportunity to learn from renowned architects Glenn Murcutt, Ricardo Flores, and Eva Prats.
Beyond the drawing board, Carlos enjoys spending time in the garden, watching football (not soccer) and playing golf. Carlos also works as a sessional academic at the University of New South Wales.
