Studio Update: Day 10

Last week we had our first Day Ten. That’s what we’re calling the last Friday of the 9-day fortnight schedule that we’re now trialling at DunnHillam.

We’ve watched as many businesses have adopted 4-day weeks and 9-day fortnights, with very few businesses going back to the idea that we have to spread our hours across five days. There are many different ways to do it, but we’ve opted for what is basically a version of ‘flex-time’. Our full time obligation is 37.5 hours per week, and we all work a slightly longer than 8 hour day in order to accrue a day off for Day Ten. No reduction in pay, and according to those that have gone before us, no reduction in productivity.

Of course, if you need us urgently you can call the mobiles. We’re not leaving the country, just our desks, and only for a day.
